How to clean and title-case a list
Paste one entry per line. The fixed template cleans the list, removes case-insensitive duplicates, applies title case, and shows the result in a read-only output textarea.
- Paste your entries into the input textarea, with one entry on each line.
- Let the fixed pipeline trim whitespace, deduplicate without distinguishing letter case, remove empty lines, and apply title case.
- Review the result in the read-only output textarea.
- Use Copy to place the result on your clipboard, or use Download to save it.
Review the output before reuse
Deduplication can remove two identical text entries even when they refer to different real-world items. Title casing can also change intentional capitalization, acronyms, brand names, proper nouns, punctuation, or language-specific forms. The exact capitalization algorithm and Unicode handling are not established by this page, so review the output before using it elsewhere.
Undocumented behavior includes the maximum input size, the result for empty input, and whether the original output order is guaranteed.
Change the pipeline in Tool Combiner
Use Edit in Tool Combiner when you need to change the template. In the Case Converter step, change title mode to sentence mode. Other available modes and exact control labels are not confirmed on this page.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is title case?
The template changes capitalization according to its Title Case mode, but the exact rules are undocumented. Review names, acronyms, proper nouns, and punctuation before reuse.
Is deduplication case-sensitive in this template?
No. Deduplication is case-insensitive, so the great gatsby and The Great Gatsby are treated as the same entry. One is kept before title case is applied.
Can I use sentence case instead of title case?
Yes. Open Edit in Tool Combiner and change the Case Converter step from title to sentence mode.
