Choose a calculator by the business question
These 28 calculators cover profitability, pricing, marketing metrics, SaaS metrics, cash planning, and inventory management. Start with the business question, then choose between an all-in-one calculator and a specialist tool. Business Profit Calculator, Marketing Metrics Calculator, SaaS Metrics Calculator, and Inventory Planning Calculator each combine several related calculations.
Profitability, pricing, and break-even decisions
Use the broad Business Profit Calculator when you want COGS and gross profit, net profit margin, markup and margin pricing, break-even units and revenue, project profit, or a billable hourly rate in one place. Choose a focused calculator when one result needs closer attention:
- Gross Margin Calculator uses revenue and direct cost to calculate gross profit and gross margin.
- Net Profit Margin Calculator uses revenue, operating expenses, interest, and tax. Gross margin and net profit margin are not interchangeable.
- Markup Calculator has modes based on cost and selling price, cost and target markup, or selling price and target margin. Markup uses cost as its denominator; margin uses selling price.
- Break-Even Revenue Calculator uses fixed costs per period, price per unit, and variable cost per unit.
- Project Profit Calculator uses project revenue, labor hours and rate, materials cost, allocated overhead, and an optional estimated tax rate.
- Billable Hourly Rate Calculator uses an income target, business expenses, working hours, and utilization rate.
Review pricing and tax-related results against your own accounting context. An estimated tax input is not accounting or personalized financial advice.
Marketing and advertising performance
Use Marketing Metrics Calculator when you want ROAS, CPM, CPC, CTR, and conversion rate for one or more campaign rows and a side-by-side comparison. It uses the figures you enter and records an attribution-assumption label; it does not attribute conversions or connect to advertising platforms.
The individual calculators are useful when you need one named ratio: ROAS Calculator uses advertising spend and attributed revenue; CPM Calculator uses spend and impressions; CPC Calculator uses spend and clicks; CTR Calculator uses clicks and impressions; and Conversion Rate Calculator uses conversions and clicks. Customer Acquisition Cost Calculator is the relevant choice when the question is spend per new customer rather than campaign engagement.
Keep the period, campaign scope, and attribution basis consistent before comparing rows. A zero denominator is not zero performance: the marketing comparison tool reports affected metrics as N/A.
SaaS revenue, retention, and growth metrics
SaaS Metrics Calculator combines MRR, ARR, CAC, LTV, customer and revenue churn, expansion and contraction, gross and net burn, cash runway, and Rule of 40 from one period of entered SaaS data.
- ARR Calculator annualizes recurring revenue according to the selected billing period, while MRR Calculator reports starting MRR plus new, expansion, contraction, and churned MRR.
- Churn Rate Calculator can measure customer counts or revenue amounts and reports gross churn, net churn, retention, and growth rates.
- Customer Lifetime Value Calculator uses average revenue per customer, gross margin, and churn or retention rate, with an optional LTV:CAC result.
- SaaS Rule of 40 Calculator combines revenue growth rate with a supplied profit margin. Its margin selector labels the input but does not change the arithmetic.
Use matching monthly or annual figures within a calculation. LTV reflects the tool’s steady-state churn and margin assumptions, so treat it as an estimate rather than a guaranteed forecast. Rule of 40 is a comparison metric, not a universal pass/fail test or valuation result.
Cash burn and runway planning
Burn Rate Calculator measures gross burn, net burn, and estimated cash runway from cash balance, revenue, and expenses for a period. Cash Runway Calculator uses current cash balance, monthly revenue, and monthly expenses, with optional growth rates, to produce an estimated runway and month-by-month projection.
These tools do not fetch bank balances or accounting records. The result depends on the period and assumptions entered, so a projection is not a guaranteed cash date or financial forecast.
Inventory cost, ordering, and replenishment
Choose Inventory Planning Calculator when you want reorder point, safety stock, EOQ, and inventory turnover together. It combines demand, variability, lead time, service level, ordering cost, holding cost, COGS, and average inventory inputs. For one decision, use the specialist tools:
- Cost of Goods Sold Calculator calculates COGS from starting inventory, purchases, and ending inventory.
- Economic Order Quantity Calculator uses demand, ordering cost per order, and holding cost per unit per period to report EOQ, orders per period, and total inventory cost.
- Reorder Point Calculator uses average and maximum daily demand plus average and maximum lead time to calculate safety stock and reorder point.
- Safety Stock Calculator uses average demand, demand variability, average lead time, lead-time variability, and a target service level with a statistical Z-score method.
- Inventory Turnover Calculator uses COGS and average inventory to calculate turnover and days of inventory on hand.
Reorder point, safety stock, and EOQ are different outputs. Keep units consistent, especially units per day with days and inventory values with matching periods. Statistical safety-stock results depend on the stated variability and distribution assumptions and may not fit every replenishment policy.
Use consistent inputs and review the result
- Choose the narrowest calculator that answers the question, or use an all-in-one calculator to inspect related measures together.
- Enter figures covering the same period where the tool requires it. A period selector may determine annualization in one calculator but only label displayed values in another.
- Check units, denominators, assumptions, and intermediate values before using the result. Currency selectors label displayed values on the inspected calculators; they do not convert currencies.
- Use each calculator’s available copy or download control when you need to record the result, and review the formula and validation details shown on that tool’s page.
These calculators perform mathematics from the values you enter. They do not connect to billing, accounting, bank, CRM, or advertising systems where the individual pages state that limitation. Do not generalize one tool’s privacy, export, browser, or validation behavior to every calculator, and do not treat a result as a substitute for accounting, inventory, advertising, or financial advice.
