Statistics Calculators

Use the Mean Median Mode Calculator to summarize one list of numeric values with count, sum, mean, median, mode, minimum, maximum, and range.

Choose a calculator for descriptive statistics

This category currently provides the Mean Median Mode Calculator for summarizing one list of numeric values. It reports the count, sum, mean, median, mode or modes, minimum, maximum, and range of the values you enter.

Enter values and review the results

Open the Mean Median Mode Calculator, enter your values, and separate them with commas, spaces, semicolons, or line breaks. Select Calculate to display the results and calculation details.

The calculator also includes Load sample and Reset controls. After results appear, you can use Copy result or Download result (.txt) to reuse the generated text.

What the calculator reports

  • Mean: the sum divided by the count.
  • Median: the middle value after sorting, or the average of the two middle values when the count is even.
  • Mode: every value tied for the highest frequency when that frequency is greater than one.
  • Range: the maximum minus the minimum.

These are descriptive statistics for the values entered. The calculator does not determine whether the values represent a sample or a population, and it does not perform hypothesis tests, calculate variance or standard deviation, remove outliers, or provide professional statistical advice.

Input rules and confirmed limitations

Enter at least one finite number. Use a period for decimal values and a minus sign for negative values. Empty input, invalid tokens, and non-finite values produce an error and hide the results.

The calculation runs in the browser, and the calculator script does not submit the values you enter. This describes the observed calculator implementation; it is not a broader security or privacy guarantee for other site features.
