Choose an extractor by the value or pattern you need
Choose a card above, then open the extractor that matches your text. The collection displays 30 cards and contains 30 live canonical extractor pages, including tools for UUIDs, IP addresses, domains, HTML attributes, Markdown, coordinates, emoji, and named entities. For common values, use Extract Emails or Extract URLs. For selected lines, use Extract Lines Containing; for a pattern you define, use Custom Regex Extractor. Extract Text Between Delimiters handles delimiter-based content, while Markdown Code Block Extractor targets fenced Markdown code. The selected extractor determines its input, recognition rules, options, and result controls.
Use the selected extractor and review its result
- Select the extractor card that matches the values or lines you need.
- Paste text into its input area. Use Upload or Drop file only when those controls are shown.
- Review and set the controls exposed by that tool. They may filter, format, deduplicate, or change what is recognized.
- Review the result. Some extractors update results as you change the input or an option. There is no collection-wide Run button.
- Use the result controls provided by the selected extractor.
Compare the controls before you extract
Follow the visible labels on the selected extractor. For example, Extract Emails provides Unique only, Convert to lowercase, and Domain filter. Extract Lines Containing provides Search, Case sensitive, Use regex, and Invert (exclude matching lines).
Custom Regex Extractor uses a Pattern field and regex flags such as i, m, and s. Date Extractor & Format Harmonizer provides Output mode choices including List, Harmonize, Table, CSV, and JSON. Several extractors expose CSV-related controls, including Time Extractor, Coordinate Extractor, and Emoji Extractor.
Extract Text Between Delimiters includes Custom start and Custom end. Recognition rules and controls vary by extractor, so do not assume that an option shown on one tool appears on another.
Review or export the results
Result behavior varies by extractor. Some tools provide output modes such as CSV or JSON; the selected extractor's controls determine which result actions and formats are available.
Check recognition rules and known limitations
Results depend on the selected extractor's recognition rules and options. Regex is available on some tools, not the whole collection. The custom regex tool requires a valid JavaScript regular-expression pattern.
No collection-wide input-size or line-count limit is confirmed, and the extractors do not share a confirmed recognition grammar, file policy, or no-match behavior.
The extraction logic processes entered text locally in the browser. This describes the extraction logic only; the shared page also loads external analytics and CDN resources, so it does not describe every page request.
Verify results when input is ambiguous
Review results when dates are ambiguous or candidates are malformed. An invalid custom pattern, case setting, regex setting, or active filter can change or remove expected matches.
Frequently asked questions
Can I paste text into these tools?
Yes. Open an extractor and paste text into its input area. Tools that support files also show Upload or Drop file.
Do results update automatically?
Some extractors update results when their input or relevant options change. The behavior and controls depend on the selected tool.
Which tools support regex?
Extract Lines Containing includes Use regex. Custom Regex Extractor includes Pattern and regex flags. Do not assume that every extractor accepts regex.
Can every extractor export CSV?
No. Output formats and actions differ. Some extractors, including Date Extractor & Format Harmonizer, Time Extractor, Coordinate Extractor, and Emoji Extractor, expose CSV-related controls. Check the selected tool for its available formats.
Why is a value or line missing from the result?
Check the selected tool's recognition rules and options. Ambiguous dates, malformed candidates, an invalid custom pattern, case or regex settings, and active filters can change the result.
Is there a collection-wide text limit?
No global input-size or line-count limit is defined in the collection page or shared implementation. Limits may still depend on the individual tool and browser.
