Choose a tool by the text change you need
This directory groups text utilities by the outcome you need: encoding and decoding, repair and normalization, replacement and restructuring, repetition and shuffling, or conversion between words, symbols, and numeral systems.
- For character codes, use Text Code Converter. It is the current destination for the Binary Converter and Hex Converter routes. For HTML entities or URL escaping, use HTML Entity Encoder / Decoder or URL Encoder / Decoder.
- For damaged or canonically different text, compare Mojibake Fixer, Unicode Normalizer, and the canonical Unicode Converter.
- For editing structure, choose Find and Replace Text, Split or Join Paragraphs, or Slug Converter.
- For changing quantity or order, use Text Repeater or Shuffle Words.
Encoding, decoding, repair, and normalization are different jobs
Use Text Code Converter when the task is expressing characters as decimal, hexadecimal, binary, or octal codes and converting those codes back. Use HTML Entity Encoder / Decoder for named, decimal, or hexadecimal HTML entity forms. URL Encoder / Decoder is for URL encoding and decoding, with its visible Magic Un-Mess control for removing tracking parameters.
Mojibake Fixer addresses garbled text caused by an incorrect encoding interpretation and previews the repair path. Unicode Normalizer offers NFC, NFD, NFKC, and NFKD forms and shows code-point changes. The canonical Unicode Converter converts text to and from escape sequences and includes Reveal Gremlins. Normalization, Unicode conversion, and mojibake repair are separate operations.
Replace, reshape, repeat, or reorder text
Choose Find and Replace Text for literal or regular-expression matching. It provides configurable scope and matching options, a preview, undo, and reset. Use Split or Join Paragraphs when the desired result is paragraph restructuring; its visible modes include Smart Unwrap and Full Unwrap.
Slug Converter is for URL-friendly slugs, with visible separator, case, accent, per-line, and maximum-length options. Text Repeater repeats text by document, line, or paragraph scope with configurable separators. Shuffle Words changes word order using whole-document, per-line, or per-sentence modes; its result should be reviewed because the original order and meaning are not preserved by default.
Convert words, symbols, and numeral systems
For specialized translations, use Emoji Mapper to replace matching keywords with emojis, NATO Phonetic Alphabet Translator to convert text to NATO words, or Morse Code Converter to convert text and Morse. NATO includes Read Aloud and Quiz Mode; Morse includes playback, copy, and text or WAV download controls.
Numbers to Words Converter switches between numbers and written words. Roman Numeral Converter converts numbers and Roman numerals and includes a date-to-Roman preset. For simpler text filtering, Remove Vowels / Consonants selectively removes vowels or consonants.
Use the selected tool and review its output
- Open the utility whose task matches your intended change.
- Enter or paste text, then select a visible mode or format when one is available.
- Apply the tool-specific action if required, such as Apply Replace, Apply Selected Repair, Magic Un-Mess, or Shuffle Words.
- Review the result and use Copy, Download, or validation controls only when that utility provides them.
Controls vary across this directory. Do not assume that upload, copy, download, or one shared data-handling rule applies to every utility.
