Numbers to Words Converter

Convert numbers to written words, or written words back to numbers.

Use the converter

Enter a number or written number words in the left input box. The converted result appears in the separate output box after you enter a non-empty line.

How to convert numbers or words

  1. Type or paste your content into the input box.
  2. Choose Auto-detect, Numbers → Words, or Words → Numbers.
  3. Check the output box for the converted result.

Auto-detect lets the tool choose the conversion direction. Use Numbers → Words or Words → Numbers when you want to select the direction yourself.

Use the file, copy, and download controls

  • Use the Upload control to load a .txt, .csv, .log, .md, or plain-text file.
  • Use Copy to copy the output.
  • Use Download to save the output.

Copy keeps the converted text in the clipboard, while Download saves it as a plain-text .txt file.

Review conversion results

The output keeps one result line for each non-empty input line. If a line cannot be converted, the status message identifies its line number and the original line remains visible for review.

Supported limits

Whole numbers from -999,999,999,999 to 999,999,999,999 are supported. The converter uses English number words, keeps blank lines, and reports unsupported or malformed lines without discarding their original text.

Decimals, currency symbols, scientific notation, and other mixed formats are not part of the supported whole-number conversion contract.
