How the MP4 to MP3 converter works
The MP4 to MP3 Converter extracts audio from supported video files and creates a standalone downloadable MP3. You can add MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, and WebM files.
How to convert video files to MP3
- Drop video files into Drop video files here, or click browse files. You can add multiple files for batch conversion.
- Choose a value from MP3 bitrate.
- Conversion starts automatically after files are added or the MP3 bitrate changes.
- Download each converted MP3, or click Download all as ZIP.
Choose an MP3 bitrate
The MP3 bitrate menu provides four options:
128 kbps- smaller file192 kbps- balanced256 kbps- high quality320 kbps- best quality
What to expect during conversion
On first use, the page may show Loading audio encoder (~30 MB, one-time download)... while the encoder loads. Processing then uses FFmpeg/WebAssembly in your browser. The source video must contain an audio stream for extraction to work.
Converted files and downloads
After conversion, each result appears in the file list with its MP3 size. Download files individually, or use Download all as ZIP for the converted batch.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this work with a video that has no audio track?
No. If the source file has no audio stream, there is nothing to extract and conversion will fail for that file.
Can I convert multiple videos at once?
Yes. Add multiple video files, then convert them as a batch. Each converted file appears in its own row with its own download button.
Does this reduce audio quality?
MP3 is a lossy format. Choose one of the available bitrate options: 128 kbps, 192 kbps, 256 kbps, or 320 kbps.
