What the tool does
This tool adds the value in Prefix before each line and the value in Suffix after it. The values are inserted as literal text; the tool does not interpret HTML or other markup. Line breaks are preserved when the text is processed.
How to use the tool
- Paste or type your text in the area marked
Paste or type your text here.... - Enter the text to add before each line in Prefix, and the text to add after each line in Suffix.
- Select Skip empty lines if blank or whitespace-only lines should remain unchanged.
- The result updates automatically whenever the text, Prefix, Suffix, or Skip empty lines setting changes.
Handling empty and whitespace-only lines
Without Skip empty lines, the tool adds the Prefix and Suffix to empty lines as well. With the option enabled, empty and whitespace-only lines remain unchanged. Non-blank lines are processed in either state.
Reviewing and copying the result
The formatted text appears in the read-only output area marked Formatted text will appear here.... Use the Copy control to copy a non-empty result. Copy is disabled while the output is empty; if clipboard access is unavailable, the shared control reports that state so the output can be selected manually.
Limits and available controls
The page provides text input, Prefix and Suffix fields, Skip empty lines, Add Prefix & Suffix, a read-only output area, and Copy. It does not provide file input, downloading, resetting, or validation, and the implementation does not document a line-count or character limit.
