Convert PNG files to JPG in your browser
Upload one or more PNG files to create JPG files in your browser. JPG cannot preserve transparency, so transparent areas use the background color you select.
Choose a background and JPG quality
Choose a background swatch for transparent areas: White, Black, Gray, Red, or Blue. Use Custom color when you need another color.
Use JPG Quality to set a value from 1 to 100. The default value is 90. JPG compression is lossy, so the converted image may differ from the PNG. Output size depends on the source image and selected quality.
How to convert PNG files to JPG
- Drop PNG files onto the drop zone, or select browse files.
- Choose a background color and set JPG Quality.
- Conversion starts automatically when the images and settings are ready.
- Review the converted results after conversion. The original preview shows transparency as a checkerboard.
Review and download the converted images
The results include a side-by-side preview of the original PNG and converted JPG. The results table shows the original file size, JPG size, and change.
Download a converted file from its row, or select Download all as ZIP to save the converted files together.
Limits and browser processing
Conversion runs locally in the browser. The page accepts multiple PNG files, but it does not document a maximum file count, maximum file size, or other explicit usage limits. The interface provides a multiple-file drop zone rather than a folder picker.
PNG to JPG questions
What happens to transparent parts of my PNG?
They are filled with the background color you select because JPG cannot store transparency.
Can I convert multiple PNGs at once?
Yes. Add multiple PNG files through the drop zone or browse files, and conversion starts automatically.
Will converting to JPG reduce image quality?
JPG uses lossy compression, so the result may differ from the PNG. The visible difference depends on the source image and selected JPG Quality.
Why is my JPG larger than the original PNG?
Output size depends on the source image and selected quality. A JPG can be larger than the original PNG.
Where does conversion happen?
The page describes the conversion as local, browser-only processing.
