Image Cropper

Crop images to a freeform selection, a preset ratio, or a social media size, with rotation and batch support - everything runs locally in your browser, nothing is uploaded.

or

JPG . PNG . WEBP . GIF . BMP

Crop images with the selected area

Use the rectangular crop box to select the part of an image you want to keep. Choose a freeform crop or constrain the box to a ratio; the current image and batch results update automatically.

Choose files and select the active image

Add files by dropping them into the drop zone or clicking browse files. The page lists JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, and BMP as input formats. You can add multiple images; no maximum file count or file-size limit is documented.

Use the file list to select the image you want to edit. Its row shows File, Original, Crop size, and Status. The active file name also appears beside Editing.

Adjust the crop and review its dimensions

  1. Choose Freeform or a ratio such as 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, 9:16, 3:4, 2:3, or 21:9.
  2. Drag the rectangular crop box to reposition it. Drag a corner handle to resize it.
  3. Use a social preset such as Instagram Post, Facebook Post, X / Twitter Post, LinkedIn Banner, YouTube Thumbnail, or Pinterest Pin when you need one of the listed ratios.
  4. Use Rotate left or Rotate right to turn the active image in 90-degree steps.
  5. Turn on Rule-of-thirds grid or Safe-area guide as a visual aid while positioning the crop.

Ratio buttons constrain the crop box shape; they do not set a target pixel width or height. Check Original size, Crop size, and Crop ratio while editing.

Crop and download the results

  1. The active image and all loaded images are cropped automatically as the source, crop box, ratio, or rotation changes.
  2. When processing is complete, use the per-file download control or Download all as ZIP.
  3. For one completed file, use its download control in the file-list row. For the completed batch, click Download all as ZIP.

Cropped results are exported as PNG files. This also changes the format when the input was JPG, WEBP, GIF, or BMP.

Limits and format considerations

  • Social presets select the listed aspect ratios. They do not create platform-specific pixel dimensions.
  • The resulting dimensions are reported as Crop size. The page does not promise unchanged quality or document a specific resampling method.
  • No maximum file count, maximum file size, browser-compatibility limit, or detailed failure behavior is documented on the page.

Frequently asked questions

Does cropping reduce image quality?

Cropping removes the pixels outside your selection. The resulting dimensions are shown as Crop size; the page does not promise unchanged quality or a specific resampling method.

Can I crop multiple images at once?

Yes. Add multiple images, choose a ratio, adjust the active image as needed, and the batch results update automatically. When processing is complete, use Download all as ZIP.

What are safe-area guides for?

Safe-area guide adds a visual inner overlay to the crop box. It does not document platform-specific inset measurements or guarantee clearance from platform controls.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Loading, cropping, rotating, and exporting all happen locally in your browser using the Canvas API. Nothing is sent to a server.

What file format does the export use?

Cropped images download as PNG.
