Review Detailed Metrics and Flesch Reading Ease
Use Detailed Metrics to review Avg word length, Avg sentence length, Avg syllables / word, and Lexical diversity. Lexical diversity represents the ratio of unique words to total words.
The same panel shows Reading time (238 wpm) and Speaking time (130 wpm). It also displays Flesch Reading Ease with a score, label, and meter. The syllable and readability values are estimates from the page's implementation.
Review Top Keywords and Longest Words
Use Top Keywords (stop words excluded) to inspect the keyword table. Its columns are Word, Count, and Density. The separate Longest Words panel lists the longest terms found in the input. A longer word is not necessarily a more difficult word.
What the calculations represent
Word boundaries are based on whitespace, and punctuation is stripped for word counting. This can make the result differ from a tool that uses another tokenization rule.
The page also calculates sentence, paragraph, line, unique-word, syllable, and character-related values. Characters includes spaces, while Chars (no spaces) removes spaces from that count.
Lexical diversity is represented as unique words divided by total words. Sentence, paragraph, line, syllable, and readability results also follow the page's implementation rules and estimates.
Limitations and privacy wording
Read Flesch Reading Ease and syllable results as heuristic estimates. The local source does not safely document the exact score thresholds, stop-word list, token normalization rules, or empty and short-text behavior.
The page performs analysis with client-side JavaScript, but the shared page also loads analytics scripts. The local implementation does not document guarantees about transmission, storage, or confidentiality. It also does not document accepted upload types, file-size limits, upload errors, maximum input size, or performance guarantees.
