What This Tool Does
The JPG to PDF Converter combines one or more JPG or JPEG images into one PDF. You can set the page order, page size, orientation, margins, and image fit before creating the file. PDF generation runs in your browser.
How to Convert JPG to PDF
- Upload: Drop JPG or JPEG files into the drop zone, or click browse files. The workspace and conversion controls appear after files are added.
- Reorder: Drag thumbnails to reorder pages. The numbered badges show the page order.
- Set page options: Choose a page size, orientation, margins, and image fit.
- Create the PDF: After images are added, the PDF is rebuilt automatically whenever you change page options or reorder the thumbnails.
- Download: After the PDF is ready, click Download PDF.
Reorder and Manage Images
After upload, the images appear as numbered thumbnails. Drag thumbnails to reorder pages. Hover a thumbnail to reveal its remove control, then use it to remove that image before conversion. Click Clear all to remove the current workspace contents and start over.
Choose Page Size, Orientation, and Margins
- Page size: Choose A4, Letter, Legal, or Fit to image. The last option makes each page match that image's dimensions.
- Orientation: Choose Auto (per image), Portrait, or Landscape. The automatic option selects portrait or landscape for each image.
- Margins: Choose None, Normal, or Wide.
Image Fit Modes Explained
- Fit to page - scales the image so it fits entirely inside the page and margins, keeping its aspect ratio. It does not crop the image but may leave empty space.
- Fill page (crop) - scales the image up to cover the full page area, cropping any part that doesn't fit. No empty space, but edges of the image may be cut off.
- Stretch to fill - resizes the image to match the page exactly, ignoring its original aspect ratio. Fills the page completely but can distort the image.
- Actual size - places the image at its native pixel size using the implementation's
96 DPIbehavior, without scaling.
Processing Limits and Privacy
Images are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to a server. The drop zone accepts JPG and JPEG files. The implementation does not expose a numeric file-count or file-size limit. Large batches of high-resolution images depend on available device memory and may take longer to process.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I mix images of different sizes and orientations in one PDF?
Yes. Choose Auto (per image) to select portrait or landscape for each image. Choose a fixed page size such as A4, or use Fit to image so each page matches its image's dimensions.
Does this reduce my image quality?
The implementation embeds the source image data in the PDF. Page placement and scale depend on the image-fit mode, page size, orientation, and margins you choose, so perceived quality can vary by the output and viewer.
Can I remove an image after adding it?
Yes. Hover a thumbnail and use its remove control to remove it before converting. You can also click Clear all to remove every image from the workspace.
Is there a limit to how many images I can combine?
The practical batch capacity depends on your device's available memory because everything is processed locally. Large batches of high-resolution images may take longer to process.
Can I convert PNG images too?
This tool is built for JPG and JPEG files, not PNG. Convert other image formats to JPG first.
