Merge Tools

Choose a merger by input format: Document Merger handles DOCX or ZIP files, Merge PDF handles PDF files, and Slide Merger handles PPTX presentations.

Choose the merger by file format

Start with the format of the files you need to combine. Document Merger for DOCX files or ZIP archives uses separate modes for those two formats. Merge PDF for PDF files lets you choose pages from each source. Slide Merger for PPTX presentations works with selected slides from each deck. Each tool requires at least two eligible inputs before merging.

Set the order and select the content to merge

Document Merger lets you drag files into source order. In DOCX mode, choose whether to insert no break, a page break, or a section break between documents. In ZIP mode, choose how duplicate archive paths are handled: stop, keep the first, keep the last, or rename the later entry.

Merge PDF also lets you reorder files. Enter one-based page numbers or ranges for each source; leave Pages blank to include all pages. For PPTX files, Slide Merger accepts one-based slide ranges for each presentation, then lets you drag selected slides into the final order or remove slides.

Review reports and format-specific warnings

Before relying on the generated file, read the findings provided by the selected tool. Document Merger reports unsupported content, style conflicts, duplicate paths, blocked archive paths, and skipped items where applicable. Merge PDF reports included pages, excluded files, signature and XFA warnings, and bookmark creation. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs are excluded rather than unlocked.

Slide Merger shows preflight findings and a final merge report. These can identify theme differences, missing parts, external links, embedded fonts, and content that may not copy cleanly. The reports help you decide what to review after export; they do not promise that every source feature remains fully editable or functional.

A practical merge workflow

  1. Select the tool that matches your input format, then add at least two accepted files.
  2. Arrange the file order or select the pages or slides you want included.
  3. Use the available options: DOCX page breaks or ZIP duplicate handling, PDF page ranges and optional flat bookmarks, or PPTX slide ranges and removal controls.
  4. Review the preview, preflight findings, or merge report when the selected tool provides one.
  5. Download the generated merged file and check the result before sharing or replacing another file.

All three tools state that processing occurs in the browser and that original source files are not modified. The controls and reports differ by format, so use the dedicated page for the files you have: start with Document Merger, start with Merge PDF, or start with Slide Merger.
