Generate Tools

Use the Random Data Generator for cryptographic passwords, strings, numbers, and UUIDs, or choose seeded Test Data mode for repeatable synthetic records exported as CSV or JSON.

Choose between random values and reproducible test data

This category currently contains one tool, Random Data Generator. Use its Password, String, Number, or UUID modes when you need ordinary random values. Choose Test Data when you need synthetic records that can be generated again from the same seed.

Match the generator mode to the output you need

The first four modes use cryptographic randomness and focus on individual value types:

  • Password generates passwords with controls for length and character groups.
  • String generates strings from a selected character set and length.
  • Number generates numbers between the chosen minimum and maximum.
  • UUID generates UUID values.

Test Data is a separate workflow for synthetic records. It provides field selection, quantity, a seed, and CSV or JSON output. Open the Random Data Generator when you need to choose among these modes.

Generate and export repeatable test data

  1. Open the Random Data Generator and select Test Data.
  2. Choose the fields and quantity for the synthetic dataset.
  3. Enter a seed when the same settings must reproduce the same output.
  4. Select CSV or JSON, generate the data, and review the result before using it in a test workflow.

The seed applies to Test Data mode. The ordinary Password, String, Number, and UUID modes are not described as seeded or reproducible by this category.

Use the Random Data Generator

Because Generate Tools currently exposes one child, continue directly to the Random Data Generator after deciding whether you need an individual random value or repeatable synthetic test data. The tool page contains the controls and output behavior for the selected mode.
