What This Tool Does
The PowerPoint to PDF Converter creates PDF files from modern .pptx presentations. It reconstructs slide text, images, and layout positioning from the file's XML. Parsing, rendering, and PDF generation happen locally in your browser.
How to Convert PowerPoint to PDF
- Upload: Drop one or more
.pptxfiles onto the drop zone, or click browse files. - Set a slide range: Leave Slide range (applied per presentation) blank for all slides, or enter a value such as
1-5, 8. - Choose a layout: Select Full slide (one per page) or a handout option for 2, 4, or 6 slides per page.
- Pick export quality: Choose Standard (fast), High (recommended), or Print-ready (larger file).
- Check the output: Use a file's Preview control when available. You can also select Include speaker notes as text pages (Full slide layout only).
- Merge (optional): Select Merge all presentations into a single PDF (in upload order) to create one combined file.
- Convert and download: Conversion starts automatically after a presentation is loaded and whenever these settings change. Download PDFs separately, choose Download all as ZIP, or choose Download merged PDF when available.
Slide-Range Selection
Leave Slide range (applied per presentation) blank to include all slides. To select specific slides, enter a range such as 1-5, 8. The selected range applies to every uploaded presentation.
Slide Layout Preview
Use a file's Preview control to open a thumbnail grid rendered from the presentation's text and image positions. Slides outside the current range are dimmed.
Notes and Handout Layouts
Full slide (one per page) places one slide on each PDF page. Select Include speaker notes as text pages (Full slide layout only) to add a notes-text page after each slide. The Handout - 2 slides per page, Handout - 4 slides per page, and Handout - 6 slides per page options arrange numbered slides on Letter-sized pages.
Export Quality Presets
Standard (fast) uses a scale factor of 1.5. High (recommended) uses 2. Print-ready (larger file) uses the largest scale, 3, and produces a larger PDF. These settings change the rendering scale; they do not guarantee an exact match for every PowerPoint effect.
Batch Conversion and Merging
Drop several .pptx files at once. The selected slide range, layout, and export quality apply to every uploaded presentation, which is then converted in turn. Download each PDF separately, use Download all as ZIP, or select Merge all presentations into a single PDF (in upload order) and use Download merged PDF.
Limitations and Local Processing
Only .pptx input is accepted. Save older .ppt files as .pptx first, and unlock password-protected presentations before converting them.
Animations, embedded video, gradients, and some chart or SmartArt graphics are not rendered. The output shows these items as labeled placeholder boxes. There is no artificial slide-count or file-size limit, but practical limits depend on your device's memory. Long or image-heavy presentations take longer, especially with Print-ready (larger file).
Parsing, slide rendering, and PDF generation occur locally in the browser; the presentation is not uploaded.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will the PDF look exactly like the original presentation?
It reconstructs each slide's text, images and layout positioning from the .pptx file's XML, so the overall structure and content match closely. Complex effects such as animations, embedded video, gradients and some chart or SmartArt graphics are not rendered - those appear as a labeled placeholder box in the output.
Can I convert older .ppt files?
Only modern .pptx files are supported. If you have an older .ppt file, save it as .pptx from PowerPoint first, then convert it here.
Can I convert a password-protected presentation?
Not currently. Remove the password in PowerPoint first, then convert the unlocked file.
Is there a slide count or file size limit?
No artificial limit - the practical limit is your device's memory, since everything is processed locally. Very long or image-heavy presentations will take longer to render, especially at the Print-ready quality preset.
Can I convert multiple presentations at once?
Yes. Drop as many .pptx files as you like - each is converted in turn, and you can download them separately, as a ZIP, or merged into one PDF.
